How to add a note widget to your iPhone Home Screen

A grocery list or a small reminder is more useful when you can see it. blink lets you capture a quick note and read notes from a Home Screen widget. Here is a practical setup for keeping a few important things close.

Write the note before adding the widget

Install blink, open it, and write a short note. Try a concrete reminder such as “bring the book” or a few items for your shopping trip. The app is designed for quick entry without choosing a folder or notebook. Open the app once before looking for its widget.

Add blink from the widget gallery

Hold an empty Home Screen area. Choose Edit, then Add Widget, or the plus button on older iOS versions. Find blink, choose an available layout, and add it. Move it somewhere convenient and finish editing.

Choose notes that fit a glance

Put the action first: “call the dentist” is easier to scan than a paragraph about making an appointment. Split unrelated thoughts into separate notes. Keep longer writing in a tool that suits it; use blink for the small things you want to remember quickly.

Use a priority marker when needed

You can mark important notes in red. Red-marked notes can remind you hourly until done. Use that marker selectively so the important item still stands out. Widget visibility and notifications serve different purposes: the widget is a place to look, while a reminder can call your attention.

If you cannot find the widget

Check that blink is installed and has been opened. Return to the Home Screen widget gallery and search by the app name. If it still does not appear, check for app and iOS updates and contact support with your iPhone model and iOS version. This guide covers the Home Screen widget; available layouts depend on the app and system version.
